From the Adriatic Coast - A14 Bologna - Bari
Leave the motorway at the cut off Bari Nord, continue along the SS 96 towards Altamura and then take the SS 99 to Matera

From the Tirreno Coast: - A3 Salerno - Reggio Calabria
Take the cut off for Sicignano and then continue along the SS 407 Basentana towards Ferrandina. Take the SS 7 Appia to Matera

From the Ionian Coast
Take the cut off for Sibari and continue along the SS 106 towards Mwtaponto. Then take the SP 175 Metaponto-Matera
